LG-H815 - I have sold both Sony cameras and am awaiting my A7Rii. Hence I am left with phoneography. I almost got it right - the new camera was due in Australia last week. However they changed the shipping date at the last minute. Hopefully I will have one by the end of the week. The LG G4 does a pretty good job. Using an extreme macro focal range creates the lovely bokeh effect. The f1.7 aperture also helps.

  • Liquid Amber

    Liquid Amber

It's been a wet Sunday here in Hobart. I went out this morning to capture a new angle on the Tasman Bridge. It was too wet and cold and the light was flat. So I went home and captured a shot of our Liquid Amber tree in the back garden.

    Welcome

We have an amazing old climbing rose around our front entry. Its a pretty welcoming sight this time of year. Fence Friday: a genre popular on Flickr - bokeh filled fence shots were once pop photography uploads on the last working day of the week. Shot with the Nifty 50 at F4 and 1/320th. ISO 100.

And then there was light. I was home bound though, waiting for parents to collect their children from sleep overs. The kids have had a lovely holiday sharing their times with friends. I was happy to see the sun and capture this little corner of the garden in our new place.

  • There was sun - I saw it.

There was sun - I saw it.

Our misty bedroom window after a late rising. We were deligted to be greeted with the sunshine. I raced outside with my camera into the freezing - and it had gone. Not to worry later it peeked out while we were waiting for some friends - so I captured some shots to follow.

  • Leaf lights

    Leaf lights

Recently at the German Christmas Markets in Glasgow Isabella spotted these. We love them so much they take pride of place of the Kitchen counter. Like Nigella - we think they will stay up all year. The little flowers are made of dyed Indian Rubber Leaves.

  • Roof Robin

    Roof Robin

Two of these little guys have been hanging around going in and out of the hedge. With Winter approaching they have been getting more and more adventurous coming to almost within touching distance. I couldn't resist getting a photo - even if it was with the flash on a rather dreary Scottish day. I wanted to get closer to the little guy, although it was raining and would rather not drown my favourite lens and beloved 7D. I have used the 2x extender and sacrificed a little clarity for the sake of a dry camera.
