The mast is inserted through the deck. The finished scarfed joint is visible.
After the mast is lowered, rigging is labeled and removed.
The mast is in place and ready to raise.
The fittings were double thickness powder-coated by Terry Heselton of Vancouver, BC.
The scarfed joint is ready to be glued to its counterpart with West 105 epoxy.
Oops! One of the base's feet dug into the stop and split.
Much rot was found at the base of the mast. It must be cut out, and new wood put in. Photo Credit: Chris Van Der Schyf
